The Needlepoint (Tapestry) Group meets at Caloundra Arts Centre, 5 North St., Caloundra every Thursday between 9.00am – Noon .

Initial membership of C.A.C.A. is a pre-requisite and an annual fee of $40.00 plus a once only joining fee of $5.00 is applicable. The annual fee is then payable before 31st December.

Needlepoint Tapestry commenced at CACA in 1997 as Creative Canvas. An enthusiastic tutor, Yo Lickerman, initially got it all started.

Although the group is small, numbers are boosted by a group of ladies who come from Bribie Island every fortnight. They bring with them their knowledge of new threads and stitches.

Tapestry has been succeeded by more adventurous embroidery stitching, but this group of enthusiastic artisans believe there will always be a place for this art and their interest will keep it going.
