FESTIVAL of QUILTS JULY 25th & 26th 2015
This year’s quilt show was another great success. Even with fewer numbers through the door, a profit was still made and many favourable comments received. The theme this year was a “Celebration of Colour” supporting the International Year of Light and members responded well with many magnificent quilts on display. The winners of the “Viewer’s Choice Award” 1. Helen Myatt 2. Cheryl Halpin 3. Lyn Gardiner
The “Del Paterson Challenge” drew a record number of entries and competition was fierce. Congratulations to the winners 1. Gail Kleidon 2. Eileen Horsburgh 3. Helen Myatt
The raffle supported “Smart Pups Assistance Dogs for Special Needs Children Inc” and we were delighted to have 9 week old Perry visit us. The proceeds from the raffle has enabled us to sponsor the purchase of a puppy. He is a black labrador and we have named him “Patches”.
